Steps to Working Together
Set up a 30-minute free consultation call to make sure we are the right fit for each other.
If we make the decision to work together, we will schedule your first session, and I’ll ask you to complete a brief questionnaire that will help me understand your current health and well-being.
Our initial assessment is made up of one 75-90 minute session.
Future sessions are 60-minutes. They can be weekly or every other week, depending on your needs.
*all sessions are virtual
How do I differ from your therapist or counselor? I believe in a holistic approach to wellbeing and work with you to address areas of your life that are challenging. We often start with your nervous and sensory systems (education, awareness, tracking, triggers, and soothers). At the same time, we can look at the small things that make up your daily life (e.g., sleep, food, movement, enjoyment) and try to make things easier by setting up systems or trying new strategies. After our session, I spend time writing up notes from our time together and sending resources for you to explore further. I am a good listener but also a problem solver, and firmly believe in taking small steps to lead to change. Homework is often a part of of what we do. You go at your own pace, and I am here to support you.
Virtual Sessions and Pricing
Initial Evaluation
The first session is 90 minutes and is required for all first-time clients. It includes a review of your history as well as therapeutic assessments related to your identified areas of concern. Together, we’ll identify priorities and create a plan for our work together. For the initial evaluation, I provide you with written summaries, resources, and overall plan.
Follow-up Sessions
This individually customized treatment session is for clients who have already completed their initial evaluation visits. For follow-up sessions, I provide you with written summaries, resources, and weekly plans.
Money and my services
I’m introducing tiered equity pricing in order to provide services accessible to people of various financial capacities.
● I believe in the power of reciprocity. My intention is both to make my services available to anyone who is called to participate, and to run a viable, healthy business.
● I use an equity-based pricing system that recognizes that we do not all start from the same place when it comes to money and ability to work, and that a fixed program fee that is easily affordable to one person is a barrier to participation for another.
● I ask that you thoughtfully determine the amount you pay for our programs based on your access to money. I offer some guiding questions to ask yourself to help you locate yourself on the pricing tier.
● I expect that individuals who can pay more without enduring hardship, will pay more.
● It’s okay not to have a lot of money; it’s okay to be wealthy. We just ask that the price you pay is consistent with your financial reality.
Tier 1: $100/$75 (initial/follow-up)
It is important for me to receive support , yet paying Tier 2—even in several monthly installments— will undermine our household’s ability to pay our rent, clothe ourselves, buy medicine, and otherwise meet our basic needs for survival.
*Note that this tier is for those experiencing true financial hardship. If Tier 2 was the fixed price and you could pay it, Tier 1 is not for you.
Tier 2: $155/$125
This expense does not jeopardize my ability to meet my basic needs. Rather, this amount will cause me to weigh between this and other discretionary spending (e.g. concerts, eating out, retreats, outdoor gear, updating household items, etc.) as I choose how to spend my limited income and savings.
Tier 3: $250/$200
I am sufficiently financially secure to pay this amount. It does not jeopardize my ability to meet my basic needs nor significantly limit my activities and purchases. I may have to account for it, but I can afford it.
* Please schedule a free consultation call to see if we are a good fit and we can discuss which pricing structure works for you.
